The overall condition of the rifle is very good and it is matching. The bore is good. Measured with original aromorers gauges it reads 50, so it is tight. From the North Cape Publications Collection.

I have a real nice original Swede M41 (NOT M41B!) sniper rifle that is missing the scope and mount, but still has the original base attached. Did the M41B rifles use the same mount (not the base, I know these are different) as the original M41?

The barrel bands don't match, neither does the magazine plate, or cleaning rod, which is also correct for these rifles. All of the Swedish Sniper Rifles were assembled from existing rifles tested for accuracy. The Scope is the imported German AJACK 4x90 early WW2 type. (and not the post war sniper M41B) The scope mounts also early WW2 versions are both serial numbered and do not match themselves or the rifle. He is fairly busy and it took some months for him to complete the job.
